Bogie & The Turtles comes to the Golden State Theatre along with very special guests, Animal Super Species. Hailing from Monterey, Bogie & The Turtles is a rock band that incorporates elements of surf and garage rock in a style reminiscent of 1970's post-punk and art-rock bands. With heavily-reverbed guitars and clean piano, these guys write songs in the style of Neil Young, Fiona Apple and Elton John to complement their raw sound. Animal Super Species was formed in Santa Cruz in 2009 and deliver dance rock anthems that constantly teeter between sexy dance grooves and ferocious rock riffage.
