Black Quarterback is an exploration of Loop based Electronica, Improvised Jazz, and Stomp Box manipulation designed to take the listener through a different sonic landscapes not typical to any of those styles. Formed in 2009, Black Quarterback features long time collaborators David Boyce (sax), Michael Cavaseno (guitar) and Kevin Carnes (drums). Kevin is a founding member of the 80s industrial - afro punk band the Beatnigs as well as cofounder of Broun Fellinis along with Boyce. Michael Cavaseno is a member of Bang Data and founded the punk-rock outfit Storm And Her Dirty Mouth in the late 90s. All 3 performed with P-Funk offshoot Katdelic in the mid-2000s and Boyce and Cavaseno continue to perform their brand of bistro jazz covers and originals under the name Radio Sofia.
Dawn Oberg is a San Francisco-based songwriter and recording artist. Her recent release 'Nothing Rhymes with Orange' was named the "Funniest political release of 2017" by New York Music Daily, and made the top ten of 2017 list of legendary critic Robert Christgau. The title track was named in the "Best 16 anti-Trump songs of the year" by Mic.com. She has release three full-length solo releases, an EP and two singles. She plays all over the bay area and has done two national tours.
