Big Wild - Wild Child Tour

at Greek Theatre (8pm)
For producer, writer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist Jackson Stell, the Big Wild project was born out of an ethos of curiosity. Inspired by the vast and wild nature of Big Sur after a revelatory trip to the coast, beauty and spirit has been the heartbeat of the project ever since. Stell's music career started in the electronic space where he gained global traction topping global viral charts along with his music appearing in major brand campaigns for the likes of Apple, The Olympics, American Eagle, etc. after his first releases and his debut album Superdream. As an artist, his main endeavor is one of evolution as his music crosses over genres; he is not confined by preconceived notions of modern sound. He delves deeper into his emotional capacity and encourages those around him to open their eyes and do the same.

Buzzy electronic artist Big Wild's (Jackson Stell) returns to the Bay Area playing Greek Theatre. His critically acclaimed debut album, Superdream via Counter Records, has received high praise from NPR and Billboard, and has amassed over 40M streams thus far. Check out "6s to 9s," (ft. lead vocalist Rationale) which NPR described as "this categorical build that starts from almost nothing and gains momentum, then builds speed, takes you higher, then hits the eject button while you're at 20,000 feet and let's you feel that free fall."

Stemming from a relentless desire to create something new, Big Wild's sound taps into the natural curiosity we all share by exploring beyond conventional boundaries in music. This spark was ignited when he first began creating music under the heavy influence of modern hip hop producers. Since then, he has increasingly drawn inspiration from the limitless potential of electronic music, while at the same time building a style unique to him.
