UMA Gallery presents Mark Growden Saturday September 10th at 8pm. Known for his soulful and poetic performances, Mark also sings and plays baritone saxophone, accordion, banjo, jaw harps, sruti box, bicycle handlebars, seljefloyte, Swedish bagpipes, lur, jouhikko, kankles, and kantele.

He has scored several films, including Blood Tea and Red String, which won Best Animation at both the San Francisco Independent Film Festival and the Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal.
Mark has devoted his life to making music for other people, and to helping other people make music for themselves. He leads community sings and singing workshops across the country.
