San Francisco’s Community Music Center (CMC) invites the public to the free Summit of Older Adult Choirs at the Herbst Theater on Wed, Jan. 27, 2016. Seven choirs and nearly 200 singers are taking part in the performance as part of a year-long celebration of CMC’s 95th anniversary. The music performed will be as diverse as the communities from which choir members come including traditional music from Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin America, Gospel favorites, jazz and music from the Great American songbook.
