Treasure Island Music Festival Returns, New Oakland Location and Dates Announced

Beloved Treasure Island Music Festival (TIMF) will return this fall after a year-long hiatus in 2017. The two-day event will be held at Middle Harbor Shoreline Park in Oakland on October 13–14, 2018.

The full music lineup and additional details for the 2018 event will be announced in the coming weeks. Middle Harbor Shoreline Park is located on San Francisco Bay and the Port of Oakland entrance channel, west of downtown Oakland. The new location will continue to offer festival-goers expansive views of the Bay, downtown San Francisco and the Bay Bridge, along with ample transportation options.

Produced by both Noise Pop and Another Planet Entertainment, TIMF was forced to relocate after the 10th year in 2016 due to ongoing development and construction at the original site. It’s clear that the organizers have a deal in place to continue to host the festival at this new location for multiple years. Other events such as the Burning Man art groups’ ‘Terminus’ parties have also had to discontinue events on Treasure Island due to ongoing development.
