Northern Nights 2016 Lineup: Gorgon City, GRiZ, Amon Tobin, TroyBoi

The fourth annual Northern Nights Music Festival returns to the historic Cook’s Valley Campground July 15-17, headlined by premier producer GRiZ, Bay Area native Amon Tobin (who will be performing music from his project Two Fingers), and South East London talent TroyBoi.

The first phase of the lineup has been announced, with a number of impressive artists scheduled to perform behind California’s picturesque Redwood Curtain at the Eel River on the Mendocino and Humboldt county line. See further below for the initial lineup poster.

UPDATE: The complete lineup has been announced, which now includes London production duo Gorgon City headlining night one, plus the addition of electronic acts like Prince Fox and San Francisco resident DJ Dials. One act that has been removed is Pumpkin, who tragically died in a car accident last month.

Additional acts appearing this year include audio/visual show Claptone Immortal Live, electronic duo The Knocks (who dropped their debut album, 55, on March 5), legendary Oakland-based hip-hop band The Coup lead by revolutionary Boots Riley, and Los Angeles multi-instrumentalist and producer Stephen.

Rounding out the rest of the first wave artists are sun-drenched remixer SNBRN, German-born now California resident NoMBe, British musician Daktyl, future-pop act Prince Fox, electronic producer Machinedrum, roots collective Fort Knox Five, electro duo Bass Physics, San Francisco-based Deejay Theory, Nicholas “Pumpkin” Alvarado, San Francisco DJ Trevor Kelly, beat-maker Dov1, and underground dance crew Teklife featuring DJ Spinn & Taso and The Era Footwork Crew.

Three-day tickets for Northern Nights Music Festival are on sale now with a limited number available at $239 for general admission and $349 for VIP. Riverfront camping is free with any ticket purchase. Upgrades, such as RV, car camping, and Redwood Grove camping, are available for purchase in advance.

Beyond the musical performances, quality local artists, vendors, beer brewers and winemakers create fun pit stops and activities. There are also planned activities like yoga, comedy, and a fun field in the nearby redwoods. Northern Nights has grown into a preeminent, environmentally conscious live music event, with help from electronic musician The Polish Ambassador and additional partners.

Northern Nights features:
– Four well-rounded stages, including a beach/river Stage
– Yoga, workshops, comedy & late night redwood improv performances in the Redwood Grove
– Hot showers
– All-night silent disco
– New options for Northern California’s best culinary offerings, beer, and wine

The second phase lineup announcement will be released sometime in the coming months. Last year, Black Star, Gold Panda, Rufus Du Sol headlined Northern Nights lineup.
