2015 Good Food Award Winners Announced

Food producers from throughout the United States gathered in San Francisco on Wednesday for the unveiling of 2015’s Good Food Awards.

The awards are designed to highlight regional food companies that consider sustainability and social responsibility with their products. This year, 146 awards were given to entries from 33 states. A panel of 182 judges considered 1,462 submissions before award winners were selected.

“Wed to a vision of a better, more delicious world, all of you have chosen to be creators,” Good Food Awards Founder Sarah Weiner told the audience at Palace of Fine Arts in her closing remarks last night. “Beyond the not trifling feat of making something utterly delicious, what you do and the way you do it creates tighter, stronger, more just societies.”

Several California regional favorites one awards including Fort Poing Beer Co. of Manzanita, Fish. of Sausolito and Venus Spirits of Santa Cruz.

Many of the winners will be on hand at the Ferry Building on January 10 for the Good Food Awards Marketplace from 9am to 2pm. Admission is $5.
