Young Jeezy Arrested For Illegal Firearms After Shoreline Shooting

Mountain View detectives arrested rapper Young Jeezy on Sunday after serving search warrants in connection with a shooting that left one man dead at Shoreline Amphitheatre on Friday, according to San Jose Mercury News.

In addition to Jeezy, five other people associated with Wiz Khalifa’s Under the Influence of Music Tour were also arrested on weapons charges, according to the report. The arrests were made by Mountain View detectives who traveled to Verizon Amphitheatre in Irvine on Sunday, the next schedule stop of the tour.

According to TMZ, an assault rifle was found on the rapper’s tour bus and he remains in custody on $1 million bail.

The arrests are associated with an investigation surrounding the shooting of 38-year-old Eric Johnson backstage at Shoreline Amphitheatre during the final minutes of Khalifa’s headlining performance. Apparently the victim was in an argument with the gunman before the shooting, according to reports. No suspects have been named in that case.
