The food festival runs from 11:00am – 7:00pm and is being held on Folsom Street, between 20th and 26th streets and from 21st to 25th streets between Treat and Shotwell streets.

As is always the case, organizers suggest buying a passport for the event.  The passports come at different pricing levels and are especially great if you’re attending with a group of friends.

While the Saturday festival is the main event, La Cocina is also holding a Night Market on Friday.  The event, which debuted last year, is a smaller gathering offering plenty of great food, music and games.  It will once again be held at the Alemany Farmer’s Market from 6:00-10:00pm.  The entrance fee is $35, with food and drinks under $10.  The event benefits La Cocina.

And to wrap up the weekend, La Cocina is hosting the 2013 Food & Entrepreneurship Conference on Sunday, with this year’s theme being “Women, Work & Food.”  The conference is a gathering of the minds, with several featured speakers, a brunch and conversation about street food and how to make food businesses thrive and grow.  It will be held at SOMArts (934 Brannan Street) on Sunday, August 18 from 10:00am – 6:30pm.
