Tupac + Bob Dylan + Violent Femmes = Rin Tin Tiger

From the living room stage to the chronic burrito shops to an opening set for Max Bemis of Say Anything at Noise Pop 2011, Rin Tin Tiger takes their eclectic twangy folk-pop, reminiscent of bands like the Goo Goo Dolls, all over San Francisco. It’s up to voters whether Rin Tin Tiger will make it to Brick & Mortar Music Hall for The Lineup showcase on June 13th.

Band Name: Rin Tin Tiger

Hometown: San Francisco

Born Date: March 3, 2011

Sounds Like: Bob Dylan + Tupac + Violent Femmes + Goo Goo Dolls

Fun Fact: Kevin and Sean are brothers and have been performing guerilla living room concerts together for their parents since the early 2000’s. Their first band was called ESCAPE FROM and involved everything from gangsta rap to death metal to synth pop. Also, Mr. Andrew is rumored to be their birth father but persistent tests have been inconclusive.

Most Memorable Show: Opening for Max Bemis of Say Anything at Bottom of the Hill for Noise Pop 2011. The show was over sold out and was our first time playing with our drummer Mr. Andrew. We knew we were going to change our name to Rin Tin Tiger but it was our last official show under the name Westwood & Willow because we had been booked for it since late 2010.

When not making music, find them at: Chron coffee shops, chron burrito shops, chron chron shops, and grabbin the occasional cheeb.

The Lineup showcase is at Brick and Mortar Music Hall on June 13th. Voting for The Lineup showcase ends on June 1st. You can vote for Rin Tin Tiger HERE.
