Memorial Day Luau at Baker Beach

A Three-Day Memorial Day Weekend heralding the start of summer, Baker Beach, a Hawaiian Luau, Namu Gaji and a benefit to build schools and community center. Your Memorial Monday has just been spoken for.

Foodie darlings Namu Gaji are hosting a Hawaiian Luau replete with a whole Llano Seco pig. Also included on the menu is Lomi-lomi Salmon, Poke, Fresh Poi (made by Dennis Lee using fresh taro root), Haupia Pudding and more. Note: the event is BYOB.

The event benefits SF based non-profit Surf For Life’s school building projects in El Salvador and Costa Rica, which is currently building a high school in El Cuco, El Salvador & Puerto Viejo.

I have to add that every time I think of a Luau, I now imagine that scene from “Forgetting Sarah Marshall”. You know what I’m talking about; it’s arguably the best scene in the whole movie.
