ICHI Sushi to Hold Benefit for Drowning Victim

If you have ever visited ICHI Sushi in Bernal Heights, you know what truly nice people owners Tim and Erin Archuleta are. They treat you like family whenever you walk in the door.

That hospitality is taking on a special meaning on  Tuesday as the restaurant holds a benefit for the family of Stafone Jackson, a Mission High School graduate who recently passed away in a drowning accident.

Jackson was a former student of Erin’s and to honor him, ICHI is donating 20 percent of all sales on Tuesday night to his family. They will also be offering up a special dessert in his honor and 100 percent of dessert sales will go to Stafone’s family.

Jackson was an incoming sophomore at UC Riverside and played basketball and volunteered in his community while also being an excellent student.

The restaurant has also set up a memorial fund in Johnson’s honor. You can visit any local Wells Fargo branch through October 5 and donate to the Stafone Jackson Memorial Fund. You can also drop off donations at the restaurant.  ICHI Sushi is located at 3369 Mission Street in San Francisco.
