Local quintet Drop Apollo are about to drop the New King EP — catch them this Saturday for the release party at Red Devil Lounge.

Drop Apollo live somewhere on the border of funk, soul and rock with a really tight, danceable groove. And somehow they scored Reto Peter to engineer their 6-song EP, who’s also worked with artists as varied as Iggy Pop, Modest Mouse, and Green Day.
