Opening: Park Tavern Debuts in North Beach

Look out North Beach, you have a brand new restaurant set to shake up the neighborhood! Introducing Park Tavern, the sister restaurant to Marlowe, set to open on Thursday night.

Restaurateur Anna Weinberg and chef-partner Jennifer Puccio have completely overhauled the former Moose’s/Joey and Eddie’s space on Stockton Street across from Washington Square Park.

The space is very modern and sleek with a large open kitchen, split bar area and two separate seating areas. There also appears to be seating outside with a perfect chance to view the foot traffic in North Beach.

Although the final opening night menu has not been finished, expect a lot of similarities to what you might find at Marlowe with plenty of added items to boot. Raw, fried and smoked small bites, plenty of appetizers and a still to be determined list of entrees ranging from the $13 Marlowe burger to the $28 New York steak.

The bar will be offering wines by the glass and carafe, classic and specialty cocktails and an assortment of both bottled and draft beer.

Judging from the pre-opening party held earlier this week, expect the buzz about Park Tavern to keep growing after it officially opens for business.

Park Tavern is located at 1652 Stockton Street and will be open for dinner Monday-Saturday from 5:30-11 p.m.  The bar will keep later hours.
