Saveur (every time I even think of Saveur an image of editor and “Top Chef Masters” judge James Oseland’s curdled, scrunched up face pops into my head) blogger Ganda Suthivarakom has traced the history and evolution of food blogs. This is kind of awesome.

It all started way back in 1997 with Chowhound and evolves from there. I was all happy to see that former SF Station food writer Amy Sherman made the time-line with her cooking blog, Cooking with Amy, launched in July of 2003. The history ends in 2010 with Foodspotting. But, clearly, they were missing Yum.
