Local bands team up for “It Gets Indie” benefit

Seemingly moved by the Prop 8 decision and the spate of LGBT teen suicides in 2010, local 8th grader and all-around hip kid Noah Hornik (he writes an indie rock blog) started a Kickstarter campaign to organize a local show that would benefit The Trevor Project and It Gets Better.

Ergo, “It Gets Indie.” By early March Hornik had reached his fundraising goal, and this Sunday at the Great American Music Hall you can check out Social Studies, Rabbit! and Handshakes, with all proceeds going to a great cause.
