The jury has spoken and the verdict is in: Barry Bonds is guilty – and not of being a douchebag who took steroids which allowed him to garner accolades he didn’t deserve – no, he was found guilty of “Obstruction Of Justice”. For the other three counts of perjury he was being tried for – a mistrial was declared.

Obstruction Of Justice? What does that even mean? That he’s a liar? Didn’t we already know that? Apparently the jury couldn’t come to a unanimous decision regarding the other counts of perjury so the judge declared a mistrial.

According to the SF Chronicle: “A federal jury in San Francisco convicted Barry Bonds today of one count of obstruction of justice for testifying that he had never knowingly used performance-enhancing drugs on his way to becoming baseball’s all-time home-run king.
