RNC Picks New Leader

The Republican National Committee has ousted the hot mess that is Michael Steele and has picked Wisconsin GOP Chairman Reince Priebus (how exactly does one pronounce that?). The first task on his agenda? Bad-mouthing some liberals. The second? Raising some much-need dough for the RNC, which is still $21 million in debt from the 2010 elections. Good luck with that.

CNN reports that, “Priebus remains largely unknown to Washington’s political class but is now tasked with rebuilding the committee’s damaged relationship with deep-pocketed GOP donors and raising hundreds of millions of dollars to compete with President Obama’s re-election campaign.”

Priebus managed Michael Steele’s 2009 campaign and is a Milwaukee-based attorney.
