At least for now. Newsom was set to begin his new gig as lieutenant governor of California on Monday, Jan. 3. But he’s a few more things to finish up before he takes off to Sacramento. You know, like approve Target to open up in SF.

SF Chroincle reports that, “Among the tasks Newsom is hoping to complete are further budget cuts to help offset an estimated $380 million deficit for the coming fiscal year, naming a district attorney to replace Harris, and the securing of the 2013 America’s Cup for San Francisco.”
