It’s Christmas Eve Eve and before you head off to your holiday destinations, even if it’s your own living room, it’s time to stop off at Marlena’s in Hayes Valley for a drink. The neighborhood joint is a holiday wonderland and is one of the few places that will stay open on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. SF Station writer Shyla Batliwalla got the scoop on this city establishment.

She writes, “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Marlena’s Bar in Hayes Valley. For nearly two decades bar owner Garrett McLain, who also goes by Marlena, has collected and displayed an impressive collection of over 1,200 Santa decorations during the holiday season.”
