Cookie Decorating Tips

Miette bakery is one of my favorite bakeshops in the world. Everything they make is both beautiful and delicious. Every month they hold a sugar cookie decorating class that is sold out far in advance; the next available class is not until March. Well, you are in luck, because Megan Gordon over at KQED attended a class and shared all the best tips on Bay Area Bites.

Gordon writes that, “In class, you’ll learn about necessary equipment, how to make and color royal icing like a pro, how to make parchment icing cones, and techniques for flooding and embellishing cookies.” and then she goes through each of the lessons step by step. It’s like attending the class yourself!

If you’re making a batch of sugar cookies this holiday season, or just want to know about the best way to make some royal icing, then check out the rest of the article here.
