Sketchfest Announces 420-Friendly Double Feature with Doug Bensen, Fred Amisen

Actors Fred Armisen and Doug Benson will bring rapid-fire jokes and live commentary to the Castro Theatre for a two-part “Summer Social” hosted by the organizers behind the annual San Francisco Comedy Festival, SF Sketchfest.

On Saturday, August 16 and starting appropriately at 4:20pm, stand-up comedian and pot-friendly podcaster Doug Benson, also the man behind “Super High Me,” returns with “The Benson Movie Interruption.” While Twilight Saga: Eclipse plays on screen, Doug and his cohorts will sit in front-row couches and crack jokes during the movie.

Benson has already presented the first two Twilight films to sold-out crowds alongside special surprise guests including Zach Galifianakis, Michael Ian Black and others. Tickets for the show are $20.

The second event that Saturday features Portlandia star Armisen as his 1970s era English punk-rock musician alter-ego, Ian Rubbish, before an audience Q&A. The show starts at 9pm and tickets are available for $25.
