Fri & Sat, October 5 & 6, 8pm both nights
Zeppelin USA comes to the Firehouse Arts Center in Pleasanton for two high-powered shows. Shedding the typical wigs and costumes, Zeppelin USA revives the music and mystique of Led Zeppelin, keeping the focus on recreating the iconic Zeppelin trademark sound, all backed by a state of the art laser, lighting, and multimedia show. The 2-hour show has a hit-filled set list that includes Black Dog, Kashmir, Whole Lotta Love, and Stairway to Heaven, plus many more. The band also promises "deeper cuts" for die-hard Zeppelin fans.
With the fully synchronized lighting, video and lasers, plus the dedication to authentic sound, this is likely a must see this season for any rock fan.
Jerry Greenberg, former Chairman Atlantic Records: "As someone who worked with Zeppelin back in the day of Atlantic Records, all I can say is, you close your eyes at a Zeppelin USA show, and you think...you're there."
Zeppelin USA is Brody Dolyniuk (lead vocal, harmonica, guitar), Steve Zukowsky (guitars, theremin), Jonathan Gilcrest (bass guitar, keyboards, mandolin, vocals), and Patrick Leon (drums, percussion, vocals).
Led Zeppelin: Formed in London in 1968, the band was guitarist Jimmy Page, singer Robert Plant, bassist and keyboardist John Paul Jones, and drummer John Bonham. Considered by many as the founders of what lead to the heavy metal movement, their style drew from a wide variety of influences, including blues, psychedelia, and folk music.
Achievements: Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award 2005, Grammy Hall of Fame 1999, 2003, 2004, 2007. Oh, and in 2014 the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album for "Celebration Day." ...Classic Rock Lives!
