YOI TOKI Returns To San Francisco On Saturday February 11, 2023 Free with RSVP

Future Funk is a Vaporwave subgenre that emerged around 2010 (championed by artists such as Yung Bae, Night Tempo and Macross 82-99). It draws from 70s disco, disco house, vaporwave and Japanese City Pop influences, resulting in a sound that is upbeat, insanely danceable, very disco and very funky. Future Funk's aesthetic is a nostalgic mix 90s anime and '80s consumer culture (the fact that it is somehow descended from Vaporwave goes some way in explaining the familiar and yet strangely unique sound and visuals).
DJs:
Valentine (New York)
Jak Syn (Los Angeles
Meikee Magnetic (San Francisco)
Rickshaw Stop 155 Fell Street
