Yerba Buena Gardens Festival Presents VEN Trio

A powerhouse New York jazz collective that draws deep inspiration from the music of Brazil and beyond, VEN Trio features São Paulo-born guitarist/composer Vinicius Gomes, Berkeley-reared bassist Noah Garabedian, and Marin raised drummer Elé Salif Howell, who's been back in the Bay Area recently to perform with his father, saxophone jedi Richard Howell, and tenor sax star Ravi Coltrane. Thriving on the New York scene as freelancers, they've joined forces to pursue a common vision based on gorgeous melodies and a panoply of fierce and sensuous grooves.
