Yerba Buena Gardens Festival Presents SF Uke Jam’s Summer Uke-Splosion

The ukulele is truly the people's instrument, and SF Uke Jam is the Bay Area's leading force bringing fans of the diminutive 4-string uke together. Whether you play or just enjoy hearing the ukulele strummed by trained fingers, come join the SFUJ community for an afternoon uke-apalooza in the summer sun with a program showcasing the region's foremost ukulele talent, a community strum-and-sing-along (bring your uke!), and special hula performances. The ukulele triumvirate U3 presides over the party. A musical collaboration spanning the Pacific Ocean, U3 features popular Honolulu YouTuber Cynthia Lin, multi-instrumentalist and Na Hoku award-winning Abe Lagrimas, Jr. and the San Francisco Bay Area's ebullient Ukulenny. From jazz and bossa nova to Hawaiian classics and island reggae remixes, U3 creates an island-inspired cross-cultural sound that will turn the ukadacious celebration into an island of aloha.
