An enchanting voice/cello duo, Dalia & the Big Violin features Palestinian-American singer Dalia Marina and Parker Ousley, a cellist/vocalist steeped in jazz but deeply engaged with a global assortment of traditions. Together, they make up an unusual but perfectly paired duo that draws on styles from folk to funk, with a splash of comic relief thrown in to keep audiences guessing. Raised in the Bay Area and now based in Boston, Marina made a powerful impression with her 2012 YBGF debut as a special guest with Middle Eastern ensemble Zamanna.
