Yellow Days is releasing a new project. Is Everything Okay In Your World? is out now via Good Years. The thirteen-track collection that forms the project features guest spots Rejjie Snow and Nick Walters, and is the most substantial body of work to date from the young artist/producer ahead of a debut album slated for Spring 2018. In November Yellow Days will play his first US shows - in Los Angeles on November 13th at Bardot and in New York on November 15th at Berlin. He is also set to perform at Tropicalia Festival in Long Beach, CA.
Word has been spreading quickly about multi-instrumentalist George van den Broek since the release of his debut EP, Harmless Melodies. The EP sounded like a heady, hazy mix of lo-fi soul nuggets, unearthed from the psychedelic ethers of the internet, and van den Broek's mournful cadences and ragged, passionate extremes, it's a voice that colours everything he sings about - blues, reminiscent of his idols, Howlin' Wolf and Ray Charles. Is Everything Okay In Your World? Is a real statement of his future intent. Fresh and audacious, it's a collection brimming with fresh ideas and delivered confidently.
Highly recommended for for fans of Tom Misch, King Krule, Cuco and more.
