Join us as we launch into the 2017-18 school year with a full menu of interactive and exciting programs for classroom, family, and community! This year San Francisco Opera Guild is focusing on how musical storytelling can build bridges--not walls--between cultures, and how widening one’s experience of the world can lead to greater tolerance, communication, and artistic excellence. Attend this free Year of Cultural Understanding Launch Celebration and participate in program demonstrations, hear perspectives from an exciting cast of artists from all over the world, and enjoy musical performances by professional artists and students from our Summer Conservatory and Opera Scouts programs. We will also introduce "Italia (in)canta", a special overseas trip for Opera Scouts coming in April, 2018, and give you a sneak peek at Lucinda y las Flores de la Nochebuena, the new family holiday opera playing this December!.
