Critically acclaimed author Charlotte Gordon's newest book is Romantic Outlaws: The Extraordinary Lives of Mary Wollstonecraft and Her Daughter Mary Shelley, which won the 2016 National Book Critics Circle Award.. Earlier works include Mistress Bradstreet: The Untold Story of America's First Poet — a Massachusetts Honor book for non-fiction — and The Woman Who Named God: Abraham's Dilemma and the Birth of Three Faiths. Her essays have appeared in various publications, including The Cambridge Companion to Early American Poetry, Harvard Magazine, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. She has also published two books of poetry: When the Grateful Dead Came to St. Louis and Two Girls on a Raft.
