SEE EVENT DETAILS
During this Summer, Javier Reyes, Executive Director of City Crossroads Ministries & Artistic Director of Colored Ink, in partnership with Lyrical Opposition, will be hosting a creative writing workshop series entitled “The Writer's Block.” Inspired by Fellowship Church, this workshop will bring all levels of writers together in fellowship to express the many emotions and feelings we as people face everyday. Participants will learn basic writing formats and prompts that will help get their creative juices flowing in order to get thoughts onto paper and eventually in front of people. At the end of the Writer's Block, we will be putting on an open mic featuring those who participated in the workshop. And who knows, maybe your writing may inspire the next person to express themselves in a way they never thought and connect with God is a way they never felt. So come by to meet new people, get inspired by other creatives and maybe even discover you have a gift to write. Each workshop is from 11am-2pm, but may go until 4pm depending on the flow of each session.
