World AIDS Day Breakfast at Strut

SEE EVENT DETAILS
at STRUT (see times)
Positive Force, The Elizabeth Taylor 50-Plus Network, Bridgemen & other SFAF programs invite community members to kick off World AIDS Day 2018 with a breakfast at Strut; 470 Castro between Market & 18th Streets.  The doors open at 9:00 AM, food and drink starts around 9:30 AM.  We will have a brief program around 10:00 AM.

This year as in years past, we are hoping to have MUNI busses leaving for the National AIDS Memorial Grove at 10:45 & 11:15 AM in time for the Grove’s World AIDS Day activities which start at 12 Noon.  This will be a community celebration that follows in the tradition of those held yearly in The Castro neighborhood of San Francisco. We gather together to honor those we lost, those who survived, our friends and allies.

Celebrating Resilience With Community is a celebration of life and a remembrance and honoring of our neighbors and community. It is an acknowledgment of the long-term survivors that offers healing and brings attention to the struggles and challenges that survivors still face today. For more information email [email protected]  or [email protected].
