During this exclusive live music event, fans will enjoy sets from each of the three artists while helping to support the historic, female-owned and operated Ivy Room. #WCM's goal is to partner with local womxn/BIPOC owned music venues throughout the tour to support them with 100 percent of the proceeds from showcase ticket sales. In turn, participating artists will be supported thanks the #WCM Facebook Fundraiser
"When COVID-19 hit, I knew that as a community-focused organization we had to continue supporting our community in any way we possibly could," #WCMFounder/CEO Ashley K. Stoyanov states. "While the weekly Instagram Lives and webinars were reaching an international audience and were a valuable resource, we wanted a way to help further connect the rising womxn songwriter community on a local level, as well as help support local music venues who truly make the local music scenes in these communities special. We have always wanted our events to be a place where womxn songwriters can find their next collaborators for shows and to share resources, and we hope that we can continue doing that even if it is virtually through this pandemic."
The tour will continue through mid-December, spotlighting a new city or region every two weeks. In addition to songwriter showcases, #WCM is also teaming up with local industry professionals to host panel discussions and webinars in each market.
The "WomxnCrush Music On Tour: Spotlight On Bay Area Webinar" will be held Tuesday, August 11 at 2 PM PST. Designed to help artists take their careers to the next level, the Bay Area Webinar will feature local music industry professionals Courtney Fairchild, manager and consultant for Direct Input Management, and Linda Garnett, founder/CEO of Indie Music Woman. *About The Artists
Skip The Needle
On their debut album, We Ain't Never Going Back, the formidable female powerhouse known as Skip The Needle bring a depth of personal insight and performing experience to their politically astute hard rock/funk songcraft. Throughout We Ain't Never Going Back, the Oakland-based quartet--featuring bassist/vocalist Vicki Randle, guitarist/vocalists Katie Cash and Shelley Doty, and drummer/vocalist Kofy Brown--delivers such impressionable original tunes as "Battle Cry (Ay Ay Ay)," "B What U Want 2 B," "Black Lives," "The Keys" and "Music Saves My Life," which reflect the musicians' deeply-held ideals and wide-ranging musical aesthetic.

CORAZA
CORAZA is a feminist indie folk-pop group based in Oakland, CA. With roots in Chile, Guam, Mexico, and the Philippines, Coraza's sound is a unique fusion of experimental and traditional; nostalgic and provocative, combining elements of South American folkloric style (à la Violeta Parra and Mercedes Sosa) with catchy contemporary rhythms, bilingual lyrics, electric distortions, and delicious harmonies.
