The Drawing Room will celebrate Women's History Month in March with an exhibition in its new Annex space, located at 2675 Mission street. This exhibition aims to showcase the diverse and vibrant SF women artists community, and demonstrate each artist's mastery of craft and innovation of their artform. We want to show this fine city what SF Women Artists are made of and how we're working to represent this community and bring women UP!
Artists are encouraged to submit a piece that best represents their work now and the direction they're hoping to explore this upcoming year. The Drawing Room will host artist talks over the duration of the month of March, called the "Sunday Series" and will include hearing from 10 artists, each for 5-10mins each Sunday. These Talks will be offered on a first come, first serve basis, are not required but definitely encouraged. In addition to the exposure by having your work in a prominent walking thoroughfare in the heart of the Mission district, sharing words and stories behind the works are even more enriching and powerful to the audiences.
