Calliope is delighted to present this special celebration of hyper-local artists: Arthur Omura on harpsichord, William Cayanan on cello, and Heeguen Song on violin. Each of the three artists will perform a solo set, in addition to collaborating on several pieces including works by Rameau, Bach, Gabrieli and Vitali.
Highlighting artists who are deeply committed to our community is part of our artistic mission; Mr. Omura grew up in Albany and attended Albany public schools before graduating from University of Southern California with both bachelor's and master's degrees in music. Mr. Cayanan grew up locally, attended Berkeley public schools, and has just completed his performance studies, with a Master's degree in cello performance from Jacobs School of Music at University of Indiana, and a bachelor's from Cleveland Institute of Music. Dr. Song lives right around the corner from St. Alban's, and last appeared for us as a member of Ensemble Ari in November of 2021. She attended Oberlin Conservatory, and both the Juilliard and Yale Schools of Music.
Your safe enjoyment of this wonderful music is our first priority! All artists, guests, and staff must be fully vaccinated and boosted for Covid 19 in order to attend. We will ask for proof of vaccination at the door. At this time, we are also requiring a properly worn mask, covering nose and mouth, throughout the performance.
Join us in person, by live-stream, OR on-demand! (For on-demand viewing, simply purchase a live-stream only ticket, and then watch the recording at your leisure anytime in the following two weeks.)
WE GUARANTEE ALL OF OUR PERFORMERS A MINIMUM FAIR WAGE - thanks to support from people like you!
$15-$25.
