This a benefit for the Blanket the Homeless compilation album being produced by Scott Mickelson featuring Whiskerman and the Coffis Brothers as well as  Fantastic Negrito, Con Brio, John Craigie and many more.

Ticket includes 6-7pm happy-hour and the From Detroit with Love: Grande Ballroom poster exhibit.

Whiskerman is a rock-and-roll overture to the great unraveling. Over the last 7 years the Oakland band has developed an underground reputation for tackling the sublime with their ambitious songwriting, thunderous stage show, and acute lyricism. They have since emerged as an engine of the Bay Area’s revitalized psychedelic and festival scenes.

Scott Mickelson is an artist/producer from the Bay Area. His debut release Flickering was on the Grammy ballot for Best Folk Album and Best Roots Music Performance. His follow up full-length A Wondrous Life is receiving great reviews in the US and abroad. Mickelson will be playing his first European tour this Fall.

The Coffis Brothers & The Mountain Men are five young men from the Santa Cruz Mountains that have been playing around the Bay Area and beyond since 2010. They play a style of music that is rock and roll in the most classic sense, melodic, rootsy and heartfelt. The songwriting duo of Jamie and Kellen show an obvious love for a bygone era of music and for groups like Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Neil Young and The Beatles as well as a sense of maturity and experience beyond their years.
