Join us for 4 days — yes you heard right, 4 DAYS — of improvised musical magic as troupes from around the world come together in San Francisco for our 4th Annual West Coast Musical Improv Fest!
Sunday 7pm show lineup:
Un-Scripted Theater Company® (San Francisco, CA): The Un-Scripted Theater Company® is proud to be hosting the fourth West Coast Musical Improv Festival! Un-Scripted is one of a handful of theater companies specializing in theatrical improvisation. Theatrical improvisation emphasizes acting, truthful, grounded characters, believable relationships, and uses narrative structure to tell a story. Theatrical improvisation is usually funny, but it's just as likely to be serious, thought-provoking, and touching. Un-Scripted will bring its unique narrative longform style to create a never-before-seen musical. Bringing contemporary musical theatre styles to the stage, Un-Scripted delights with heartfelt harmonies in an engaging story.
Flash Mob Musical (San Francisco, CA): Flash Mob Musical uses an audience member's suggestion of a favorite song lyric to inspire a montage of scenes and songs made up entirely on the spot. There may be games. There may be call-backs. There may even be musical reprises, but absolutely no narrative!
Definitely Not Murderers (St. Petersburg, FL): We’ll huff and we’ll puff, and we’ll sing our hearts out! Join us for a fractured, fully improvised one-act musical inspired by your favorite fairytales. We ask an audience member to recap their chosen fairytale, and then we bring it to life! The gore, the grit, the love stories, and the life lessons.
