The acoustic group Wendy Burch Steel & Redwood, playing a mix of bluegrass, old-time, country, folk, and blues, perform a local concert to celebrate the release of their new CD "In Flight." The performance will be on Sunday, February 23, at The Back Room at 1984 Bonita Avenue in Berkeley. In addition to Wendy Burch Steel, the rest of the band on the new CD and appearing at the concert, are Butch Waller, Glenn Dauphin, and Allegra Thompson. Guest artists who will join the band at the Feb 23 show are: Suzy Thompson (veteran musician and recording artist, founder of Berkeley Old Time Music Convention, and Allegra's mom) on fiddle, Larry Cohea (from High Country Bluegrass) on banjo, and John Schott (recording artist, bandleader, composer) on guitar.
