Wellness Day Talk: Brain Health

SEE EVENT DETAILS
We open our third monthly Wellness Day programs with this talk with Dr. Suprabha Jain, proponent of holistic health and faculty member of the Sivananda Yoga Health Educator Training.
Lifestyle has a profound impact on brain health. Consider what you eat, the amount you exercise, the soundness of your sleep, and how you manage stress. These are essential to your brain health.
Dr. Jain will discuss common brain ailments such as dementia, Multiple Sclerosis, strokes, Parkinson’s, brain cancer and Lou Gehrig’s disease. Follow the anatomy of the nervous system and find out what goes awry. She will also touch on mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, phobias and PTSD.
Commit to healthy living, wellness and longevity.
If you don’t have time for wellness, how will you have time for sickness?
Wellness Day also includes an active (and fun) focus on health from 4:00-6:00pm which includes movement, breathing, relaxation, goal-setting and a healthy, vegetarian meal. Come to just the talk or both!
