Welcome to the Opera brings together live vocals, trance, electro and techno for a night of futuristic revelry- a benefit concert for the upcoming new Opera on Tap production, "Xixoxa's Spaceship" a new work premiering at the Chabot Space and Science Center Planetarium in March 2025.
While we dance the night away to operatic DJ sets, guests can enjoy a spectra of many galaxies as rare projections provided by Chabot Planetarium sparkle onscreen.
All attendees of the Welcome to the Opera dance party fundraiser will get on the list for a complimentary welcome champagne at the Planetarium opera production. For dress theme, think neo-Baroque, modern-Classical, even Space Goth, or whatever apparel you may don to capture the ether- our event photographer will be there to "immortalize" each guest in their finest.
