EVENT:
Begin Weekend 3 of ArtSpan Open Studios at Workspace Artists Studios. Discover one of San Francisco's newest artist communities, and meet nine professional artists working in their sunlit studios. Near the Geneva Car Barn, Community Gardens, and the growing arts district of Excelsior/Outer Mission/Balboa Park, Workspace Artists Studios is just a short walk from transit, with plenty of parking.

Professional artists from across the city have joined together at Workspace Artists to keep the San Francisco virtues of creativity, resistance, protest, environmentalism, craft, and general weirdness alive and thriving. Isa Amalee, Linda Belden, Cy de Groat, Paul Glenn, Sung Hee Kim, Delfina Piretti, Inga Poslitur, Sharon Steuer, and Laurie Wigham open their studio doors to visitors all day Saturday and Sunday.

More About Workspace Artists:
Originally a Mission stalwart, Workspace Limited regrouped from displacement to land as Workspace Artists in a former glass-blowing workshop in Balboa Park / Outer Mission/ Excelsior in 2017. A mixture of long-timers and new members have created a new artists' community with both history and fresh energy, all further activated by the exciting arts developments in the neighborhood. Workspace neighbor the Geneva Car Barn will soon launch a youth-oriented performing arts space. And a few blocks away, ArtSpan is planting its flag with at the ArtSpan Onondaga Art Center. Workspace Artists Studios are also attached to a number of long-established groups of artist and musicians in Francisco Studios and SpaceBarSpace.
