Enjoy a deeper dive into Letterform Archive’s collections.
A research visit is a great opportunity to delve into our holdings of a specific designer, era, or medium. Tell us a little about your interests in advance, and our librarians will pull a variety of relevant materials just for you. Whether it’s a work project, school assignment, or personal endeavor, inspiration awaits—sometimes where you least expect it!
Please note: These visits are conducted in the style of a study hall, i.e., self-directed research under the supervision of an attending staff member. We strongly recommend taking an introductory tour before scheduling a research visit; introductory tours are the best way to familiarize yourself with the breadth of our collection and any special handling procedures.
