Weaving Friendship: A Welcome Celebration for Bertina López Cumez

Join us to welcome and celebrate skilled Guatemalan weaver and friend of the museum, Bertina López Cumez. Bertina, in conversation with the Hearst's Head of Education Adam Nilsen, will speak about her weaving practice. In addition to the huipiles currently on exhibit (woven by Bertina and her mother), additional textiles will be on view.

Before and after the talk, explore the current exhibit People Made These Things: Connecting With the Makers of Our World, and enjoy music and light refreshments.
