One of Europe’s most hyperactive multi-talents returns: DJ KAOS is back on Compost – this time together with his old friend the sound engineer CE.EL.
A semi-professional skateboarder and world-wide known graffiti writer from the Berlin Wall, who toured in London, Lissboa and New York with his writings and even has organized parties for I-D magazine, KAOS obviously has what it takes.
After his first releases together with the legendary Turntable Terranova on Compost Records, KAOS individual musical journey led him to Studio K7! in Berlin.
He then carried on to build up his international DJ career and now, finally, comes back to Compost Records with the new “Renegades EP” That’s unreal!
Along his way through the various shades of the music industry KAOS eventually hooked up with CE.EL the sound engineer of the project. Funnily they know each other for years: From skateboarding in the good ol’ days when they were young.
Now – balanced and grown up – it’s time to be heard together on the new “Renegades EP” on Compost Records. KAOS also is part of the project called “GUM”, together with Cameron MC VEY (Neneh Cherry, Massive Attack, Sugar Babes) and part of the project “Ghost Cauldron” (with Pulsinger a.o.), that will be out in September / October 2002 on Studio K7!
As said before, he’s a terrific multi-talent! Just think of him teaching prisoners how to write graffiti or, of course, think of his own famous t-shirt collection. And be assured, his music rolls like he’s skateboarding: anarchistic jet-set style.
