The Santa Cruz Chorale is delighted to welcome Resounding Achord, conducted by Kristina Nakagawa. From Randall Thompson’s Alleluia to This Little Light of Mine by Moses Hogan, from Eric Whitacre’s transcendent Lux Aurumque to Craig Hella Johnson’s moving arrangement of Dolly Parton’s Light of a Clear Blue Morning, this concert reveals how different composers depict illumination and comfort. The experienced voices of both chorales will join each other singing Orlando Di Lasso’s Ola, o che bon eccho as well as the contemporary Arvo Pärt’s Magnificat, which was composed in honor of Christian Grube, the Santa Cruz Chorale’s Artistic Director.
