When the Berlin Wall came down, we dismissed the idea of separation, and we assumed walls were something from the past.
In reality, it is the exact the opposite. There have never been so many walls – thousands of miles of fences, gates, barbed wire and barriers – in the most distant and dissimilar parts of the world. Walls tells the true stories of people living on either side of these forms of separation. These are intimate and intense stories that reveal our similarities. Regardless of which side we inhabit, we all share the same hopes, fears, thoughts and emotions; the same desire to survive. (2016, 80 min, digital)
