Volti completes its 38th season of "singing without a net" with the works of a British visionary, a brilliant Dane, and three extraordinary young American composers. Robert Geary conducts the 17-voice professional vocal ensemble.
"The journey continues" with "Santiago," from Joby Talbot's four-movement "Path of Miracles," a "sublime and awe-inspiring" (SF Classical Voice) musical pilgrimage along the legendary Camino de Santiago across Spain.
Also on the program: Per Norgard's "Wie ein Kind," Ted Hearne's "Consent," Tonia Ko's "From Ivory Depths," and the premiere of "like a strange sigh" by Jack Hughes, winner of Volti's 2017 young-composer competition.
