Los Angeles-based singer Douyé brings her triof eaturing Leon Joyce Jr drums, Keith Saunders piano and Heshima Mark Williams on bass to the Poppy to celebrate her first album of jazz standards, Daddy Said So. After two well-received R&B releases, the Nigerian-born vocalist goes back to her roots with an evening of classics inspired by legends such as Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, and Dinah Washington.
