Visual Tribute: A Dialogue with Cesar Opening Reception

SEE EVENT DETAILS
This exhibition by Juan R. Fuentes will showcase works spanning four decades that represent working people, and in particular, the struggle of the United Farmworkers. From the collagraph, “Huelga” (1973) to “Pensando en la Revolución” (2008) to recent works such as “Bracero/Wetback” and “Documented,” (2015), the 20+ pieces on display—primarily relief prints that are bold and colorful—represent the artist’s experience growing up with the “braceros” in the fields and his personal connection and ties to Cesar Chavez.
